Our Safety Culture Runs Deep

At Turf, we commit ourselves to safety on a daily basis. We’re not just here for the bottom line. People matter the most, and we aim to send everyone home safely at the end of each day.

Getting everyone H.O.M.E.

Getting home safely every day starts with communication. Our team members at Turf use the acronym “H.O.M.E.” to remain focused on safety.

Human Behavior
We start by focusing on our actions and where we need to improve. We only create a safe work environment by becoming aware of our habits so we can change our behavior one step at a time, one day at a time.
Over-Prepare
Over-preparing for safety means we train our team above the regulatory requirements so that everyone is equipped to do their job in a safe and effective manner before construction even begins.
Manage Stress
Stress is the single greatest contributor to accidents on jobsites. We reduce it by offering mental health resources to our team, cultivating encouragement, and remaining positive in the face of challenges.
Everyone Goes Home
We’re here to build up communities, starting with our own team. We seek to send our people home safe at the end of the workday, so we can continue to be part of the communities we serve.

Safety that protects our teams and partners

Turf works in partnership with California-based Safety Compliance Company to ensure the safety of our team members and partners through training programs, jobsite audits and inspections, and a company-specific safety program. Our safety program covers a wide range of topics, including the following:

  • Training for specific hazardous tasks
  • Personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Up-to-date safety certifications
  • Safety compliance on all projects
